H&M Goes Green (again)!

by Dominique Negron
Sweden's largest fashion house continues it's green trend with their Spring 2011 Conscious Collection.
According to H&M's website, there are "around 2,200 stores spread over 38 markets." With all that global influence, I was surprised that this was the first time I'd heard of any green campaign. Last year's green Garden Collection was said to be successful, and it looks like the green trend will continue to grow within the company, and hopefully throughout the fashion industry.

This year's campaign is titled the Conscious Collection (via Racked.com) and will include organic cotton, reconfigured polyester and organic linen. The men's and women's lines are comprised mostly of whites, one of Spring 2011's most dominant colors, along with some neutrals. For women, the designs range from minimalist shapes to playful crochet sundresses. For men, formfitting suits, jeans and basic tees. The Conscious Collection is due to hit stores April 14.
